Travel Club Contract Red Flag Scanner
Answer a few questions based on the agreement in front of you and see whether the contract shows warning signs such as nonrefundable fees, auto-renewal traps, arbitration clauses, inventory disclaimers, or weak cancellation rights. This tool is a starting point. If you want a document-specific review, request a contract review.
- You do not need to upload a contract.
- If you have the agreement in front of you, answer the questions based on what it says.
- If you are not sure about a question, choose "Not sure" and the tool will treat that as moderate uncertainty rather than a guaranteed red flag.

How This Scanner Works
This tool uses a weighted scoring model based on 18 contract-risk factors commonly found in travel club, vacation club, and discount travel membership agreements.
- Each question maps to a specific risk factor with a weight between 5 and 10 points.
- Answering "Yes" to a risk factor adds its full weight. "Not sure" adds roughly 40% to reflect uncertainty.
- Two questions are inverted: leaving without a document copy and unclear support contacts score risk on "No" instead of "Yes."
- Certain combinations of flags (e.g., nonrefundable fees plus a short cancellation window) add bonus points to reflect compounding risk.
- The final score is capped at 100 and mapped to a severity label from "Low concern" to "Extreme caution."
Weights and thresholds are calibrated based on patterns documented across travel club contracts and consumer complaints. They are not legal determinations.
Want a human review of the actual contract?
This scanner can help you spot possible red flags, but it does not replace a document-specific review. If you want a plain-English review of your travel club, vacation club, or timeshare agreement, request a contract review here.
